Blood irradiation indicators RAD -SURE
TA-GVHD is a side effect of blood transfusion than can be fatal. Patients suffering from certain diseases or certain states like bone marrow transplantations, permanent tumors und T-cells defects are more likely to get infected by TA-GVHD.
TA-GVHD can be prevented by radiating the blood tranfusion product.
The RAD-SURE blood radiation indicators have been designed to deliver a sure, visible validation of irradiation. Sticked to a blood bag the RAD-SURE indicators show if the blood is radiated or not.
